  1. Another bookshop. (Daunts would be wonderful, but unlikely they’d consider Kennington. Sadly). Or a health food shop/café (independent if possible). God forbid the appearance of yet another estate agent – there should be a limit on the number allowed in a given area!

  2. Definitely.

Or . . . as lambeth Council are (again) proposing to close the Durning Library, why not have a Daunt Bookshop within the building — with a volunteer-run library. This could be a good new model for bookshops and for libraries under threat of closure?

  3. Another bookshop. If you read the Kennington hype in the Evening Standard on Weds 8th April, Daunts may want to get in there. Why not a bookshop “plus”? (partner with another business, offering something useful to local residents – cafe, + gallery, food outlet?). No more estate agents.
