As we spend most of our lives writing, faxing and stapling in our underground office we rarely get a chance to meet actual people, much less celebrities. As we’re about to tell you everything you need to know about an upcoming celebrity loaded charity event, we asked around the office as to who’s had the biggest celebrity encounter. As it turns out our Intern Anne actually went on holiday with Liz Hurley’s shoes, so she won.

Our chums over at the Cinema Museum are trying to buy their building and avoid going bust. So over the next few days they are laying on a number of starry events in order to raise funds for said purpose. 31.10 has actor Toby Jones laying down tracks for a Halloween disco. Good luck, Toby, as everyone we know will be at parties doing their best Claudia Winkleman look, replete with massive Polo neck and a fringe so iconic it should have listed building status. Other nights have interviews with Lesley Manville, Mark Gatiss, and a chat about soundtracks with Mark Kemode. Who himself has a rather fierce barnet.
None of the events above are free, dear reader, but just remember it’s for charity, and charity is important even for selfish people. We can’t guarantee you the dizzying summits of going on holiday with a former A lister’s footwear, but it looks fun. And it’s for charity. Book here
